The Neo-Renaissance building of the main post office in Jablonec was built between 1892 and 1894 according to the plans of the architect Friedrich Setz, the Vienna Chief Building Council. Arwed Thamerus, a builder from Jablonec, supervised the project.

A pseudo-Gothic single-nave building with a rectangular tower at its front was built by builder Arwed Thamerus in 1892.
The dam was built between 1906 and 1909 as part of a system of dams on the Nisa`s tributaries the objective of which was to stop inundations on regular basis troubling the Jizera Mountains region.
